Lauren Wood
Lauren Wood is a seasoned music instructor with a passion for sharing her love of music! She has been teaching private lessons for 15 years, specializing in guitar, piano, ukulele, and percussion.
She attended high school at the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts in Hartford, CT, and later Westfield State University in Massachusetts, where she honed her skills in jazz and classical guitar. Lauren's teaching approach is tailored to each student's interests, with a strong emphasis on music theory and notation reading.
She believes in making lessons fun and engaging, ensuring students stay motivated and excited about learning their instrument. In addition to teaching, Lauren enjoys performing with other musicians and students in Placer County.
When she's not instructing or performing, you can find her transcribing music, competing in long-distance running marathons, and hitting the slopes with her family.

Jesse Scott
An accomplished conductor and musical director, Jesse has several graduate degrees in music (B.M., M.M., M.M.Ed).
He has toured both Europe and the entire United States after winning a concerto competition for the Marin Symphony. He has recorded with the Taipei Symphony on the “live” Air Supply album “Now and Forever” and later performed with the Boston Philharmonic. For over the last decade, he has brought his awesome talents to The Hackjammers, Rock Skool, and Unchained.
In 1999, he began his career teaching music at the Brandeis Marin School. As the Music Director and Instructor, he has guided his students’ musical futures – some go on to become songwriters, some choose to major in music at college, and one of Jesse’s students became the lead guitarist for singer John Legend.
